The U14 gymnastics squad from Walthamstow Hall School travelled to St Helen’s and St Katherine’s to compete in the GSA National Team Floor and Vault Competition in March.
The competition required teams to perform five individual floor routines and five vaults. The team representing Walthamstow Hall were one of 12 teams competing in the U14 category from across the UK.
The standard of gymnastics from all schools was of a high level which provided a very competitive event. Walthamstow Hall achieved overall third place – and the team were awarded bronze medals. An exceptional individual performance from Rebecca on the floor saw her achieve the highest individual floor score of the day – out of 60 students in the U14 category.
This demonstrates that Gymnastics at Walthamstow Hall continues to go from strength to strength, something they hope will continue next year. Well done to all the girls on their fantastic achievement.
