Sevenoaks Swimming Club pair Jacob Hudson (15) and Aiden McMillan (16) both recorded fantastic times at the recent National Winter Championships.
Sevenoaks’ head coach, Keiron Piper, was proud to report the following results, saying: “Aiden swam the 200m butterfly in a time of 2:10.63. This was a seasonal best for Aiden.
“Jacob, swam the 50m breaststroke in a time of 30.70 and the 200m breaststroke in a time of 2:26.12. These times were both only slightly off the fresh personal best times that Jacob had achieved only a few weeks prior. The times were particularly impressive though as this was Jacob’s first time racing at Winter Nationals.”
The National Winter Championships is the biggest English swimming meet of the winter months, with Britain’s top senior swimmers often involved. Between December 5-8 last year, the short course event took place in Sheffield. The top 65 ranked swimmers in the nation in each event are invited, with results split in Open and 18’s and under.
