Swanley skatepark receives lottery funding

The Swanley skatepark project received a welcome gift in October when officials from The National Lottery’s Community Fund presented them with a cheque for £150,000. The much needed funding has come after the community interest company, Concrete Wave, started fundraising to give Swanley skatepark a radical makeover.

Concrete Wave’s Chairman, JD O’Brien, who appeared on the BBC’s The Apprentice (Series 12 – 2016) was on hand to accept the cheque with MP Laura Trott, Cllr. Lesley Dyball, Cllr. Roddy Hogarth and Swanley Town Council’s CEO Ryan Hayman.
