As the above image suggests, we have a long road ahead of us, but I know that if one community in the entire UK can come together for sport & wellbeing, then I know it’s the Sevenoaks District. Every one of you work tirelessly to ensure that our local sports clubs and organisations are at the forefront of our community.

This is my personal message to you all this New Year: ”To you, the referees, the committee members, the volunteers, the supporters, the parents (who drive all the miles), the parents (who stay up worrying), the kit-washers, the sandwich makers, the line markers, the line judges, the clubhouse bar staff, the first aiders, the clubhouse kitchen staff, the proud grandparents, the sponsors, the coaches, the teachers, the managers and to YOU the players!

This is YOUR year! 2021 will hopefully repay you for all the hard graft and effort you have shown over the last two years! We are behind you and we will see this through to the bitter end! It’s been difficult, yes, but I believe we are on the cusp of a major shift in our way of life and things will return to as much normality as it can. You are an inspiration to us all and we love you, so please keep doing what you do in twenty twenty two.”
