Sevenoaks Indoor Bowls get ready for Open Day

As soon as restrictions allowed, Sevenoaks Indoor Bowls Club in Hollybush Close opened its doors again with a strict Covid-19 procedure in place. Members began to trickle back, eager to resume playing and making contact with friends once again. Numbers grew, and it was soon possible to organise competitive games, triples competitions with a Wimbledon and Olympic theme were particularly popular.

Those members who play outdoors during the summer will soon be returning to the warm atmosphere of the indoor arena when Club roll-ups, internal leagues, friendly matches and Kent League games will help bring bowling life back to normal. A full social programme, Sunday carveries and darts are also available to members.

The club will be hosting an Open Day on Saturday 2nd October from 10.00am to 4.00pm for prospective new bowlers, coaching and equipment provided, with four weeks bowling for free before deciding to join.

Bowls is recommended for its health benefits, gentle exercise and social contact in a very friendly atmosphere, suitable for all ages from beginner to the experienced bowler. For those not able to attend the Open Day, why not pay a visit to the club during a week day morning when you can enjoy a look round and a coffee too.
