Sevenoaks Hockey Juniors progress through England Hockey Cup on Super Sunday

Sunday 6th June was another action packed day of exciting matches for the Sevenoaks Hockey Club junior squads who are progressing through the England Hockey Cup.

Seven teams were out playing on Sunday in a bid to reach the next round.

Both U18 Boys and U18 Girls faced Canterbury.  The girls came away with an 8-3 victory to face Epsom next weekend.  The boys played a hard fought and very close game at home, sadly bowing out of the competition losing 3-4 with a very late goal from Canterbury – this despite leading the match at 2-0. For a number of the boys this was their last match as juniors. The club wishes them the best of luck at University and hopes to see them back soon as seniors!

The U16 boys defeated East Grinstead 4-1 and face Norwich away next weekend, whilst the U16 girls go out losing to Holcombe 4-7.

More mixed results in the U14s with a fabulous result from the U14A Girls, pulling off an impressive 9-0 victory against Canterbury, the U14B Girls losing their match to Ashford 0-1 and the U14A Boys losing a close game to Knole Park 0-2.

Good luck to all the teams competing again this weekend.
