Barry had been associated with Westerham Football Club for many years, most recently as goalkeeper for both Saturday & Sunday men’s teams, along with managing the Saturdays also.
His natural ability as a goalkeeper saw many successful seasons not just for Westerham but for many other teams, including Aperfield Athletic where he helped them win the league conceding only 11 goals in his first season.
Barry had stints at many clubs where he always hit the ground running, these included Nugget FC, Coney Hall FC, Halstead FC, Warlingham FC, Biggin Hill FC, Addington Palace FC and many more.
Barry’s ability to carry himself as well as his kind, caring and generous nature meant he was always welcomed wherever he ventured.
He will be missed by many teams and players that he crossed paths with, but none more than Westerham FC.
