Sevenoaks Indoor Bowls Club are holding an Open Day in February at their club in Hollybush Close, Sevenoaks, TN13 3UX. It’s on Saturday 8th February from 10.00am until 2.00pm.

All equipment and advice provided is provided free of charge on the day and they are even offering you four weeks membership for free too.

They also host a weekly Youth Group (8+) every Sunday morning from 10.00am until 12.00pm. Give them a call on 01732 451889 or visit their website at www.sevenoaksindoorbowls.co.uk.

Sevenoaks Amateur Boxing Club opened the doors to their new gym in Hardy’s Yard on Monday 3rd February. Social media was abuzz with the news and the club commented: “Just wanna say what an amazing turnout we have had for our 1st boxing class of the year and in our new home! Honestly can say we have never been prouder of our team! Big big things to come from this amazing gym, …buzzing!”.

• Controversy surrounding the new Swanley Leisure Centre was highlighted once again in early February after BBC Radio Kent hosted a phone-in on their morning programme. A number of current badminton players called-in to take a dig at Sevenoaks District Council saying that the new facilities would not be sufficient and that the consultation process was not handled very well.
