Loo-roll challenges and rainbows for the NHS

Local clubs around the district have been busy distracting themselves whilst in lock-down and self-isolation. With loo-rolls and stuffed socks being kicked and hit from screen-to-screen, to annual awards celebrations online via Zoom or House Party.

Sevenoaks Vine Cricket Club however went one step further and started what has now become a national campaign for our NHS workers.
SVCC member Harry Robinson altered their club badge to reflect their support for the NHS by placing a rainbow across it, and after a brilliant social media campaign on Twitter (@SVC1734) there are now more than 100 cricket clubs from Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Essex, Derbyshire, Cambridgeshire, Herefordshire, Hampshire and beyond that have now modified their club badge to reflect their support as well.

Elsewhere, members of Sevenoaks Hockey Club were busy recreating great sporting moments including the amazing GB ladies hockey gold in Rio in 2016. They were only allowed 20 seconds to recreate a sporting moment in their kitchen. Well done ladies!

If you are involved in any challenges please tag us through social media and we’ll make sure the wider community get to see them too!
