Kemsing Cricket Club are united for awards night

Kemsing Cricket Club hosted their annual awards at the end of November and displayed great club unity as youngsters received senior awards.

Nizamudin Oryakheil, 16, was presented with the club’s young player award whilst Katie McBride, 12, was awarded the first ‘Lady Player’ after playing for Kemsing’s Saturday side at the end of the season. Katie also picked up the Under-13’s All Rounder award on the night.

Kemsing’s senior side who won the Kent County Village League Division 4 Championship were all present at the event and there were awards for James Walkling (Batting), Roger Shaddock (Bowling), Martin Green (Fielding) and Stuart Barnes (Individual Performance) after recording five for 15 runs in a match.

Roger Shaddock was also presented with the Player’s Player award for his efforts on and off the field.

Their Sunday side awarded young Ben Hafford with the Individual Performance award after hitting 106 not out.
