Hilden Park Golf, Health and Leisure welcomes Toptracer to its range

Golf course and driving ranges have experienced an unprecedented rise in visitor numbers over the last year. The mixture of an outdoor activity that can easily be socially distanced has enabled Hilden Park to reopen its’ 9-hole golf course and driving range following successive lockdowns, welcoming back existing and new customers, experienced and complete beginners to the sport.

Hilden Park is a gym, golf course and driving range in Hildenborough. Owned and run by Pauline and Danny French since April 2010, the couple have decades of experience in the sector; Danny has been a professional golfer for 30 years, whilst Pauline has been in the service and retail industry for 27 years. Having had to close their doors again on 5th December they have been busy looking at how they can further improve the offering to their clients once current restrictions have been eased.

Undertaking a comprehensive internal refurbishment project at the start of last year by investing over £80,000 to improve the facilities inside, including renovating the changing rooms and creating a large studio space with sprung flooring, air conditioning, floor to ceiling mirrors and ballet barres, they have now moved onto the driving range.

The 27 bays have had a total refurbishment with new targets, mats and range balls, LED Bay Lighting and they have also invested in Toptracer technology.

Toptracer Range technology can be seen on Sky Sports, on both European and US PGA tours. It is transforming the driving range experience by enabling guests to compete against each other, play virtual courses, and receive instant shot feedback on interactive game screens.

Danny commented: “We’re delighted to be able to offer this Toptracer technology to our clients. Using the most up to date technology, the ball is tracked by cameras, giving ball speed, distance, spin rates, height and side spin and converting this information onto screens in each bay. It also offers the chance to virtually play some of the best courses in the world and has fun games for families and friends to enjoy playing competing against each other”.

“Now that we’re reopen again we are displaying leaderboards enabling people to take part in some friendly rivalry, plus we’ll be taking part in the Toptracer global events as they happen.”

Pauline added: “We’ll be running some great monthly competitions including “Beat our pros” and “Closest to the pin” which is going to be great fun with brilliant prizes, there’ll be special food and drink packages, and we’ll be sharing how people are getting on across our social media. We can’t wait to see you!”

There’s no need to pre-book bays, simply head to the Hilden Park web site for further information on pricing and opening hours.
