HC Knole Park ladies keep putting away the goals

HC Knole Park’s women’s 1st XI won their third league match of the season with a victory against second placed Marden Russets 2nd XI on Saturday. Goals from Olivia Breed (3), Anna Faulstich (3), Lottie Bingham (2), Amelie Allen, Josefina Hippe & Sasha Kelbrick kept Knole Park women top of the table having scored 46 goals and conceded only one goal so far this season.

HC Knole Park women’s 1st XI faced Marden Russets; the other all winning team in Kent Division 2 on Saturday at Tonbridge School. The young Knole Park team started strongly and took an early lead with a rebounded goal from Josefina Hippe, following a shot from captain Ruth Bingham. The second goal came from Sasha Kelbrick who latched onto a pass from Olivia Breed who had broken through the Marden defence. Soon afterwards Sasha returned the favour to allow Olivia to score her first goal of the game.

The Marden defence managed to hold firm for large periods of the match, however after several penalty corners Anna Faulstich scored an excellent goal. Anna then doubled this up in quick succession with an excellent individual goal. Olivia Breed scored her second just before half time, following a good attacking run from defence by Bea Jones.

The second half saw Olivia Breed and Anna Faulstich score another goal apiece to complete their hat tricks. Three further goals from penalty corners; one from Amelie Allen and two from Lottie Bingham took the score line out of reach from a Marden comeback. The final goal of the match was scored by Lottie Bingham as her powerful drag flick flew high into the right hand corner of the goal which gave the home side an impressive 11-0 victory.

The women’s 1st XI travel to Herne Bay this Saturday who are also still unbeaten so far this season.
