Sevenoaks Town followed up their back-to-back wins at the start of the year with a draw away at Hythe Town on Saturday to remain unbeaten in 2019.
Town finished the match with 10-men after Daniel Wilkinson was sent off just after the hour mark, but they managed to keep Hythe out to record a clean sheet and seven points from the last three games.
Sevenoaks are back at Greatness Park this Saturday as they host local rivals East Grinstead, who find themselves five points adrift of Town. Kickoff is at 3.00pm.
Kent County League hots up for Hill
Ide Hill stretched their lead at the top of the Division One West to three points with a hard fought away victory over Mottingham on Saturday afternoon.
After a comfortable win over Stansfield the previous week, Hill looked to maintain their momentum in the final third of the season against a spirited Mottingham side. The visitors welcomed back defensive lynch-pin Ben Pearson into the back three, whilst Man of the Match Sam Heasman slotted into an unfamiliar left wing back slot with aplomb. Craig Jackson, Matt Bunn and George Kensell were on the score-sheet in an impressive 3-1 victory.
Chipstead were unable to defeat Halls AFC however, coming away with a 1-1 draw and allowing Hill a bit of breathing space. Chipstead will enjoy a week off though this weekend, as they regroup to take the title race all the way to the end of the season.
Otford United continued to outperform their opponents at home as they beat Metrogas 3-1 with goals from Luke Blackaby (2) and Lewis Willard. The result leaves them in seventh place with a couple of games in hand as they push for a top three finish in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Halstead United beat Equinnocial 4-2 in Division Three West to maintain their middle of the table position.
Sevenoaks & District League
St Lawrence took their A-game to Kemsing United and came away 5-0 winners in the Sevenoaks & District’s Premier League on Saturday. Whilst Leigh and Nomads were unlucky to lose their respective games by just the one goal.
In Division One there were losses for Westerham and Otford United Reserves, but Swanley Oaks performed well to earn a point in a 3-3 draw away at Ightham.
The Fisher Shield took precedence in the bottom divisions as Ide Hill Reserves put five past league rivals Pembury. Seal and The Bull Horton Kirby were unable to progress though and will now concentrate on the league.
