Absolutely exceptional!

Set within beautiful surroundings in the heart of Otford village, Russell House has been providing excellence in education here since 1947.

The independent co-educational preparatory school educates boys and girls from 2-11 years of age and has an average roll of 200 pupils.

The school, which in June was awarded the top rating of EXCELLENT by the Independent Schools Inspectorate, aims to provide an inspirational education in a happy family atmosphere.

With a curriculum stretching well beyond the boundaries of the National Curriculum, Russell House pupils are encouraged to join in and aim high from an early age.

The school provides its pupils with a broad-based education which is accompanied by an abundance of extra-curricular activities. Competitive sport is an integral part of daily life, delivered by specialist coaches throughout the school. In addition, there are many after-school sporting activities including Saturday tennis.

Pupils experience a wide range of sports including football, hockey, rugby, netball, cricket, athletics, cross country running, swimming and tennis.

The aim is for all children to develop an enthusiasm for sport that will be carried with them into healthy, active lifestyles long into the future. The children’s performance and achievements in sport are outstanding, with impressive successes recently in football, gymnastics, cross country, judo and tennis, and teams competing at regional and national levels.
