A busy weekend at HC Knole Park!

HC Knole Park’s juniors were in action this weekend as the U14 Girls played London Wayfarers HC. Two goals for Biba Mills, as well as singles for Lilly Holmes, Evie Smith, Boadicea Cannon, and Isla Johnson gave the girls a resounding 6-0 win and keeps the girls top of the England Hockey Supra League (East). The U16 Girls beat Guildford 10-1.

England star Liv Breed was in top form as she netted five goals. Lottie Bingham scored two excellent penalty corners, Polly Brownlow scored two from open play and Anna Faulstich with another excellent backhand. The girls are The U14 Boys beat East Grinstead 11-1. In a dominant performance Iggy Muñoz scored four times, Noah Madsen Powell claimed a hat-trick, whilst Luke Hague (2), Mack Copp and James Moore completed the scoring.

HC Knole Park’s adult teams were also in action this weekend as the Women’s teams played their last 16 England Hockey Cup matches. The Women’s 1st team lost 4-2 to the British Army. Goals from Annabel Cheveley took the scores to 1-1 and 2-2, however the invitational side had too much power in the end. Whilst the Women’s 2s beat South Berkshire on penalties after a thrilling 1-1 draw. Charlotte Smith scoring a superb penalty corner. The Men’s 1st team lost 5-2 to top of the league University of Kent but retain their second in the league spot. Duncan Parnis scored twice from penalty corners.

This weekend, the U16 Girls are playing their England Hockey Cup semi-final against Cambridge City. Whilst the U14 Girls face Clifton Robinsons from Bristol in their EH Cup semi-final. Both sides are playing for a chance to play at the National Finals in April. The U18s are playing Harleston Magpies from Norfolk in their EH Cup quarter finals, and the U14 Boys travel to Amersham and Chalfont for their EH Plate quarter final. The U10 Girls are off to Folkestone to play in the Kent Cup too!

In the senior section the Men’s 1st team play Ashford, looking to bounce back from their defeat last week. The Women’s 1s travel to Holcombe and the Women’s 2s face Marden Russets. Another busy weekend ahead!
