Watch out! There’s a six-year-old biker about!

Meet Henry, he is six years old and races in the British Championship called CoolFab Racing. He competes in the rookie group which is for newcomers aged 6-13.

Henry, from Sevenoaks, has always had an interest in bikes apparently, as his Grandad was a side car racer and his uncle was a Superbike racer!

Henry, driven on the main roads by his mum and dad, has entered eight rounds over the year which take place all over the country from Cumbria to Dorset.

The 1st round of the Championship took place in March in Wales where Henry had three races and got 2nd in all of them. It was his first ever race at the age of 6 and he did so well.

Round 2 in Dorset and he came 1st in the first and second races which gave him the lead of the Championship.

Tattershall was the setting for round three, but Henry found this really difficult and managed a 6th, 5th and then 3rd, but he still held the Championship lead on points.

Round 4 was in Cumbria and saw Henry race against 10 year old Sam Munson. He lead the race for a few laps then got overtaken and secured 2nd place.

Henry is now winning the Championship by just 3 points but at the age of 6, and compared to a grid full of older riders, his mum said “We are totally blown away by Henry’s performances!”.
