Trinity School hosts first sports awards dinner

Trinity School held their very first Sports Awards Dinner at the start of October, attended by the schools students plus Shaunagh Brown, a member of the Harlequins Rugby team, and Ben Earl, a former Sevenoaks RFC player who now plays for Saracens.

A number of awards were handed out on the evening across different age ranges by the schools PE team led by Head of Physical Education, Miss Katie Trew.

After the students enjoyed a three-course meal provided by the schools restaurant staff, Shaunagh and Ben gave speeches to the room encouraging the young athletes to progress in their sport whilst keeping up-to-date with studies.

The main award of the evening was for the ‘Team of the Year’, which was won by the Year 9 Rugby team for their unbeaten track record, excellent team cohesion, focus and morale on and off of the pitch. Paddy Walton won the Phil Bradshaw Leadership award which is given to an individual who leads by example on and off the pitch.
