Town unlucky as they slip to first defeat in six

Jack Miles’ 84th minute Own Goal handed Phoenix Sports a 2-1 win over Sevenoaks Town, ending their six-match unbeaten run. Sevenoaks survived a missed penalty, as Ashley Probets fired against the post after a foul by Miles.

Ex-Phoenix striker Frankie Sawyer set up Kenny Pogue to score just after the break, ending a lean spell that stretched back to August for the striker. Substitute Kenny Aileru levelled with almost his first touch after coming on, with a neat near post finish.

Pogue blasted against the crossbar five minutes later before Miles capped an unfortunate afternoon with an own goal just five minutes from time. The result leaves Sevenoaks perched on top of the bottom half of the table in 11th place.
