Synchronised swimmers come away with medals

Sevenoaks Synchronised Swimming team had an amazing day at London Regionals on Saturday, with everyone on the team coming away with a medal.

The under-12’s Synchronised Swimming team

This was their first competition this season, with each team swimming a routine to music for 3 minutes. The U12 team, were delighted with their gold medal with a score of 53.86, over 3 points clear of the runners up.

Team: Amelia Bell, Angelina Bezuidenhout, Anjola Pratt, Caitlin Lauerman, Ella Francis, Fleur Kirk, Gemma Grobbelaar, Isabelle Thompson, Laragh Redhouse, Lena Saunders, Lucy Sadler and Maelle Fontaine.

The U15 team are a bit more experienced but had a few hiccups on the day; they were delighted to come away with a bronze medal and a score of 55.20, less than 0.75 points from second place.

Team: Amy Cameron, Aruni Meedeniva, Eden Dyer, Emilie Williams, Katie Thomas, Michaela Grobbelaar, Niamh Black, Sayaka Soga, Sophia McInnes, and Tiia Lahdelma.

Both teams are looking forward to their next outings at the Kents in Canterbury on June 24th and their first swim in the National Combo Cup at the London Aquatic Centre on July 7th.
