Surprise for Town on club day for Hospice in the Weald

Sevenoaks Town FC were presented with a signed England shirt from their very own Powerchair player Kyle Alexander on Saturday afternoon, as they celebrated their club day with a bucket collection for Hospice in the Weald.

Alexander made his England debut in July 2017 and has gone on to be a mainstay for his country. The presentation was a gesture to the parent club for all their support over the years, not just for him, but for the whole Powerchair squad and setup in general.

322 people were in attendance at The Bourne Stadium to watch Town defeat Greenwich Borough FC 2-1 with goals from Teshuane Tyreece Walters and Josh Dorling, whilst goalkeeper Ben Bridle-Card was presented with the Sevenoaks Sports Man of the Match award. The bucket collection for Hospice in the Weald raised a magnificent £954 on the day.

Meanwhile, Town’s Chairman Paul Lansdale, had been training for his first half marathon, which he duly completed with his wife Sue on Sunday in London. The Sevenoaks Town Twitter account posted the occasion:
