Silver Medal for Jaedon and the Jamaican National Squad

Sevenoaks Swimming Club swimmer, Jaedon Lynch, who is just 12 years old, was selected to the Jamaican National Squad for the Central American and Caribbean Championships held in Aruba at the end of June as part of the CCCAN Games 2018.

Competing in the 4 x 100m Medley Relay. Jamaica and Jaedon, who swam a superb Fly leg, were rewarded with second place and a Silver Medal. This was then followed up by a brilliant display in the 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay where he and his team secured 3rd place and a Bronze Medal

Jaedon also competed in a number of other events and was rewarded with 4th place in the 4 x 50m Mixed Free Relay, 5th place in the 200m fly, 6th place in the 200m breaststroke and 7th place in the 50m breaststroke.

Joanna Percy from Sevenoaks Swimming Club said: “Huge congratulations to Jaedon for his outstanding performance in such a prestigious event. Sevenoaks Swimming club are very proud of his achievement.

“With 37 countries competing in these games it was a huge honour and immensely exciting for Jaedon to be selected to compete at such an event.”
