Shining Suns in All Star Five after 3-0 start to season

It’s so far, so good, for Sevenoaks Suns in terms of their title defence after the 2017-18 league winners moved to 3-0 with another triumph, this time over Oaklands Wolves in St. Albans.

Suns had two exceptional headline performers who were too hot to handle for Wolves, those being Cat Carr and Ta’Yani Clark, with both of them making the WBBL – All Star Five in week three of the Championship.

Clark displayed an all-action performance from as she showed her full range of skills with a sweet stat line. Clark did it at both ends of the floor to help her team take a victory at Oakland Wolves, harvesting a superb and eye-catching 12 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists and seven steals.

Meanwhile, Carr, the reigning Molten MVP brought her usual top drawer quality for Suns as they rode past Wolves. She found the hot hand early in the contest and eventually put up a terrific 30-point haul, proving to be a nightmare assignment for the Wolves’ defence who fouled her 7 times. Carr also recorded eight boards and seven assists.

Julia Koppl also added a well-drilled 18 points as the Suns machine continues to impress across the entire court.

Sevenoaks entertain Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters at the Sennocke Centre on Sunday in what is already a huge game this early in the season. The winners will most definitely get bragging rights of being top of the Championship.
