Welcome to April’s issue of Sevenoaks Sports magazine. This month we have an interview with Olympic race walker Tom Bosworth, who is currently on duty with Team England at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Australia as he prepares for his 20km race.
Although he is not alone down under, as Chantelle Pressley, a forward for the Sevenoaks Suns Basketball team, is also representing Team England at the games.
Talking of Basketball, Len Busch has just received the Molten Coach of the Month award from the WBBL for March, he led his Suns team to a flawless 4-0 record during the period and they have a fantastic opportunity to retain the WBBL Trophy in April too.
Sevenoaks Town are on the verge of greatness as they get ready for the last leg of their long season. And with just eight games to go, we have no doubt that they will keep their fitness levels going for the full 720 minutes.
Also in this month’s issue, John Douglas takes us on an amazing trip to East Africa for a charity bike ride and we visit Knole Park Golf Club, who let us in for a peek at their hidden gems and tell us why junior golf is so important to them.
