Sevenoaks ladies keep clean sheet for 6th game in a row

After a fantastic start to the season Sevenoaks ladies 1st XI were keen to keep their current form going. A solid 3-0 victory was enough to keep the clean sheet, and 3 point winning, streak up for the 6th game in a row.

The first half saw Oaks playing well with an early goal from Sophie Crosley in the sixth minute from a well-executed penalty corner. A spate of attacks went unrewarded, despite a string of shots being tantalisingly close to the line. It was another 15 minutes before Kate Reynolds found the back board after a cross from Katy Warrington. Oaks kept mounting the pressure and were able to get some quality interplay going before the half time whistle went.

The second half saw the final goal of the game early on, with Katy Warrington getting a fantastic reverse shot into the back of the goal during a short corner. The final half was a somewhat frantic with Bedford changing their tactics in order to try and put some pressure on the backline. Fortunately, Oaks remained composed and kept going until the final whistle.

Next week Sevenoaks face 9th placed St Albans away.
