Reigning MVP Cat Carr heads back to Suns

A marquee player not only for Sevenoaks Suns, but also for the WBBL itself, 2017-18 MVP Cat Carr has agreed to return for what will be her fifth successive season at the club.

Carr has been the main driver behind Suns landing a stack of silverware during recent season. She collected back-to-back MVP accolades at The 02 Arena in London as Sevenoaks collected consecutive Play-Off titles.

Amassing more than 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists per outing last season, this shone a light on her do-it-all game and all around influence on the WBBL Championship winners.

“To have Cat back again as a centrepiece of our team is tremendous for the entire club,” stated Suns’ play-caller, Len Busch.

“We know she is a leader on the floor and brings so much to the table in what she does, but Cat is also a role model for the younger players as well. That is very important to us.

“It’s a great start to our recruitment for the new season and I am sure wider fans of the league will be glad to see one of its premier players is back on board for another year.”

More player announcements are expected during coming weeks by Sevenoaks, as they look to confirm their roster early for the 2018-19 campaign.
