Formed in 1990 in Edenbridge with a dedicated group of twenty die-hard American Football fans, the club now numbers over three-hundred members across its different sections. They have teams at: Adult (18+), Women’s (16+), Junior (16-19), Youth (14-16), Youth Flag (11-14) and Cadet Flag. (7-11).
Under Head Coach, John Moore, they will compete for the first time in the BAFA National Leagues Premier Division, the top tier of British American Football. The Exiles gained promotion last year after becoming the Division One Southern Conference Champions.
As, a club the Exiles put a strong focus on Youth development and that is reflected in the strength of their Junior & Youth programs. Led by Head Coach Aaron Alexis, the juniors claimed a National Championship in 2016, and captured the inaugural Division Two under-19 Junior title in 2018.
The newest section of the Exiles is the women’s squad continues to grow both in numbers and talent. Our ladies just recently made the Sapphire Series Division 2 Finals in only their 3rd season of competition.
Their Cadet & Youth Flag programs for 7-14 year olds are run by a dedicated team of coaches. The energetic squad compete in tournaments across the South-East, many of whom have had their introduction to football through these flag programs.
The Exiles’ home ground is at the Beaverwood Club in Chislehurst. Practices take place both there, or at our alternative training venue at Orpington Rugby Club.
