It’s good news at the SDC Awards!

Sevenoaks Powerchair Football Club (SPFC) picked up the first award at the Sevenoaks District Council (SDC) Community & Voluntary Awards
yesterday evening.

SPFC were presented the Community Arts/Sports Group of the Year award by SDC Chairman Pat Bosley at the event which was held at St Nicholas Church in Sevenoaks.

SPFC officially affiliated themselves with Sevenoaks Town Football Club (STFC) for the 2012/13 season and STFC have continued to support the powerchair teams since then and have played a massive part in the development of the powerchair set up.

SPFC are also being assisted by Cllr Roderick Hogarth, the Sevenoaks Town Mayor, after he announced them as one of his charities of the year.

The award for Outstanding Volunteer for Local Attraction went to Paul Lansdale, the Chairman of STFC. Paul was presented the award by Cllr John Edwards-Winser for the immense work and time he has dedicated to the club over many years.
