Sevenoaks Prep under-11 and under-9 gymnastic teams were recently crowned medal winners at the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) National Gymnastics Championships on Saturday 25 November, at Kent College in Pembury.
In total, 30 schools took part in the first ever joint competition being the first year boys will be included in the competition.
It was IAPS’ biggest ever Gymnastics competition with 450 children involved.
Sevenoaks Prep’s under-11 team won Gold, coming first of eight teams. Lilia, Lucia, Esme, Hannah and Abbie all worked hard on their individual routines too and also came away with Gold (Esme), Silver (Hannah) and Bronze (Abbie) individual medals.
The under-9 team consisting of Portia, Suri, Isabella and Charlotte had a successful afternoon at the championships too, coming 5th overall of 11 teams.
These were absolutely fantastic achievements from Sevenoaks Prep’s gymnasts in a large national competition.
