Football roundup: Sevenoaks make their home in the Bostik League

Sevenoaks Town Football Club capped off a superb first season in the Bostik South East League finishing in a very respectable 10th place.

The season was ultimately split in two, and Sevenoaks definitely did better in the second half, converting potential losses to draws or wins. They finished April in fine style despite a last day of the season loss to VCD Athletic.

Town presented Frankie Sawyer with the Fans Player of the Year award after their last game of the season. Ben Bridle-Card received the Players Player award and Tom Ripley was given the Committee Player award.

Southern Counties East Premier Division
Corinthian FC were unlucky to finish runners-up in the Southern Counties East Premier Division after they lost their penultimate game away to 3rd placed Fisher, allowing Cray Valley (PM) to take the title on the last day os the season.

Kent County League
Otford United enjoyed a good campaign in the Kent County League (KCL) Premier Division finishing in a very respectable 5th place. Crockenhill were less fortunate and will look to put their ducks in order come August as they look to have just survived the drop by the odd point or two.

In the KCL Division One West, Ide Hill and Chipstead took their rivalry to a new level with the Hill taking the ultimate prize of promotion whilst the Chips took comfort by winning the Sevenoaks Senior Charity Cup Final over their rivals.

Halstead United took stock in the KCL Division Three West and will go again next season after finishing mid-table.

Suburban League
Corinthians and Sevenoaks Town both had teams in the Suburban Football League. Whilst Corinthians were propping up the Premier Division, Sevenoaks looked to take full advantage in the South Division. However both teams will stay where they are for the 2019/20 season.

Sevenoaks & District Football League
In the Sevenoaks & District League, Potters FC lifted the Premier Division Championship beating nearest rivals Nomads by 10 points.

Division One gave us some interesting games and Malgo FC took the spoils, however Sevenoaks Weald failed to turn up this season and have already been relegated.

In Division Two, Tonbridge Invicta Reserves took the title whilst Wilderpark and Nomads Reserves for the new season.

Division Three is yet to be decided and is currently a three-horse race between AFC Orpington, Ide Hill Reserves and Pembury for the title. Titan Tigers and St. Lawrence Reserves have already found the drop-zone after amassing just four wins between them all season.

Penshurst Park have led the way in Division Four all season, but Roselands have one game left to determine who gets the title bragging rights.

Southern Veterans Football League
Chipstead FC have unfortunatley been relegated from Divison Three this season after a poor campaign saw them miss the cut by just three points.

They will however, join Sevenoaks Town Vets and Westerham Seniors next season, who both stay in Division Four after a mixed season.
