The club’s Centenary was celebrated in 2011. It was an extremely busy year with numerous prestigious games including a match at Windsor Great Park. The Ladies celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 2008.
It is an active club with a friendly atmosphere and visitors are always welcome.
The club has an excellent green and clubhouse facilities with pleasant views and spacious car parking adjacent to the green.
Friendly matches against other clubs are played throughout the summer season, including a number of mixed games.
Club competitions are ongoing during the summer for those who wish to take part, culminating in a Finals Day at the beginning of September.
Teams compete in various leagues in both the Ladies’ and Men’s sections.
The Thursday night league, open to all playing members, is a very relaxed club evening which usually finishes with a fish & chip supper.
The season starts with a cheese and wine party to which all members and their partners are invited. A club supper is usually held in the evening of Finals Day. Other events are organised during the season. The Annual presentation of trophies is held after the season has ended.
The Club has an Open Day on Sunday 4 June at 2.30pm to which anyone wishing to have a go at bowls may come along. There will be tea and cake afterwards.
