Chipstead Football Club celebrate three Cup Finals

Chipstead FC’s first team are taking part in the final of the Sevenoaks Charity Senior Cup which is to be played at The Bourne Stadium, the home of Sevenoaks Town FC on Good Friday, 19th April with a 2.00pm kick off.  Along the way Chipstead had to see off stiff competition from St Lawrence is the early round, Nomads in the quarter-final and then finished with a convincing win over K Sports Reserves in the semi-final.

The first team also have another Semi-Final coming up at the end of March when they face Farnborough Old Boys Guild in the Bill Manklow Inter Regional Challenge Cup.

Chipstead FC 1st team have reached the Final of the Sevenoaks Charity Senior Cup which will be played at The Bourne Stadium on Good Friday.

As the Chipstead U18 team approaches its last few games together it’s worth reflecting that the Tandridge League U18s Cup Final and the push for an exceptional league season is the culmination of many years of hard work together.

This season’s team is managed by Chris Pincott and is a mix of players who started at Chipstead around 2008, with several of these players who were at that time at Otford United with Chris, but decided to join the Chips in 2013. They have also recruited additional players from Sevenoaks Town and Tunbridge Wells in the past few seasons, making this team a true reflection of the depth in ability across several local clubs coming together.

As well as having the best league defensive record, Chipstead U18’ss are the highest goal scorers in the Tandridge U17s/18s leagues. They comfortably came though the cup rounds with a 7-0 quarter-final victory over Tooting & Mitcham and an impressive 5-1 away win in the semi-final versus Junior Reds.

The final is to be played on Thursday 21stt March at 7.30pm under floodlights on the grass stadium pitch Bostik Premier League outfit Tooting & Mitcham. Chipstead’s opposition will be Ballers Club Elite FC, a team with stadium experience, playing their home games at Crystal Palace Athletics Stadium, and also the biggest rivals for the League Trophy. Chipstead are currently top of the U18 Tandridge League approaching the end of the season.

Chipstead Falcons U13’s are flying high this season. They currently lie in second place in Division A of the Crowborough & District Junior Football League and they have also reached the final of the C&DJFL Cup. The cup competition is open to all 34 teams who play in the Crowborough U13 League.

After comfortably beating Rusthall Wanderers and Tonbridge Invicta Rockets in the early rounds, Chipstead survived a big scare in the quarter-finals when they came up against a determined Crowborough Athletic team. Trailing 3-1 just after half-time, the Falcons were inspired to come back and win 7-3 in a pulsating game.

Chipstead Falcons will play Hawkhurst United Juniors in the Crowborough & District Junior Football League Cup Final on Sunday 7th April.

The semi-final was always going to be a much tighter affair, with Chipstead drawn to play local rivals Sevenoaks Town Lightning. The Falcons edged a tight and sometimes tense derby, with two goals settling the match 2-0 in favour of the Chips. The final will be played at on Sunday 7thh April at Hailsham FC with a 9:45am kick-off. Chipstead’s opponents will be Hawkhurst United Juniors, who beat Tonbridge Junior Vipers 6-3 in the other semi-final. 

It is an amazing effort for all three teams to reach these finals in the same season and supporters will be wishing them all the best and good luck for the games ahead!
