Archery club accreditation

Fox Archers, who compete in the Mid Kent League at St. Michael’s School in Otford, have been awarded the Sport England Clubmark Accreditation, becoming the only Archery club in Kent to achieve this award.

The Clubmark Accreditation is basically the same as a kite mark standard for sports clubs, which have demonstrated the highest regard to standards, providing an assurance to parents of prospective junior members and other members that their safeguarding policies are paramount. These include: child protection, first aid, health and safety and Archery GB’s code of practice.

These standards are so important when you realise that Fox Archers are a club which are open to all from no experience to the very much accomplished, able or disabled, with a desire to learn and improve but most of all enjoy the sport of archery.

To gain this award, Fox Archers were very gratefully assisted by the Sevenoaks District Sports Council, Sencio Community Leisure and Sevenoaks District Council, who also presented Fox Archers with an Achievement in Sport award in September 2017 by Edward Oatley MBE.
